Raster is our product, not a partner

Technology

Raster is not a partner integration, it is ours: an AI-first digital asset manager our own team designed and built, for organizing, tagging, and shipping the photography and image assets that end up on a website. We started it because we needed a way to stop losing images in scattered folders on our own projects.

We use Raster on client engagements to manage the asset pipeline behind a build, and we keep extending it: automatic tagging is live today, and we have explored, but not shipped, a Gemini powered assistant for helping teams pick photos out of a large set.

What it is

Our own asset manager, not a plug in

  1. Built in house, not licensed

Raster is a Monogram product. Our creative director and our director of engineering built it to solve a problem we had on our own projects: photography scattered across folders, drives, and old email threads with no shared way to search or tag it.

  2. Organize, edit, and ship, in that order

The core loop is tagging and search first, so a team can actually find a photo again, then basic editing and delivery controls so the same asset reaches web and mobile without a separate export step for each destination.

  3. AI tagging is live, AI editing is not yet

Automatic tagging is a shipped feature. An assistant that helps pick the best photos for a campaign, using Gemini's large context window, is something we prototyped and wrote up. It is a real exploration, not a shipped capability, and we say so plainly.
