Addiction Education Society
The Addiction Education Society (AES) is a nonprofit organization committed to addiction prevention through education, advocacy, and community outreach. As their mission and impact continued to grow, AES partnered with Monogram to modernize their digital presence through a thoughtful rebrand and a new marketing website that more clearly reflects who they are today.
At the heart of the project was a shared belief expressed by leadership: if the work helps even one person or one family, it’s worth doing. Our goal was to create a site that communicates that purpose with clarity, compassion, and trust while giving the organization a strong, flexible foundation to support their work for years to come.

Contentful for Long-Term Impact
A key goal of the project was to give AES full control over its content now and in the future. To achieve this, the society would need a flexible, composable foundation to support the rest of its tech stack. The organization qualified for Contentful’s pro bono program, giving them access to a reliable, market-leading digital experience platform. Using structured content, we created content models for resources, stories, and core pages. With this setup, non-technical staff would be able to build and update pages independently and scale content over time.
The AES team can now publish changes in minutes, rather than days, without requiring developer support. Contentful's intuitive editing experience reduces bottlenecks and helps the organization respond quickly to time-sensitive initiatives and campaigns, while keeping the site consistent and organized.
A Thoughtful Modernization
Rather than a full rebuild that risked downtime or lost functionality, we took a strategic, incremental approach. Monogram designed and developed a new, high-performance marketing platform that could live alongside AES’s existing WordPress-based learning system. This allowed public-facing pages like the homepage, articles, and donation flows to be fully modernized, while educational programs continued uninterrupted.
The result is a seamless experience for users, all under one domain, with a clear path for future migration as AES evolves.

Our Mission: Supporting Theirs
Addiction Education Society’s mission is rooted in education: helping people understand the realities of substance addiction, its impact on individuals, families, and communities, and advancing the knowledge that addiction is a disease. We carried that mission into every decision. We designed an experience that meets users where they are, whether they’re seeking information, support, or a way to help. The result is a digital presence that communicates AES’s purpose with credibility and compassion, while making it easier for their audience to find trusted guidance and take action.
Performance, Accessibility, and Trust
Behind the scenes, we focused heavily on performance, accessibility, and security. Pages load significantly faster, even on slower connections, improving reach for educators and students alike. The new donation experience is streamlined and secure, with modern payment processing that protects donor data and builds trust.
Every page is built with accessibility best practices in mind, ensuring the site is usable and welcoming for as many people as possible.

Built for What’s Next
The new platform gives AES a future-ready foundation. It supports their current needs while creating room for growth, whether that’s expanding content, introducing new programs, or eventually migrating more functionality off legacy systems. With a maintainable codebase and a flexible content model, AES is now equipped to scale their impact without being held back by their website.
