Makeswift is a visual, drag-and-drop page builder that sits in front of whatever you already have, rather than replacing your content backend. It is the tool for the campaign page and the landing page a marketing team needs to ship and reshuffle themselves, on the same day, without a deploy.
On BigCommerce's site we paired Makeswift with Contentful: Contentful held the structured content and the data model, Makeswift gave marketing the drag-and-drop surface to lay pages out and update them without engineering in the loop. Monogram is a Makeswift partner agency.

Why Makeswift, paired with something else
- It is a builder, not a system of record
Makeswift edits layout and copy on the page. It does not want to be where your product catalog or your resource library lives, which is why we ran it alongside Contentful on BigCommerce rather than asking it to hold structured content.
- Marketing ships pages without opening a ticket
The drag-and-drop editor lets a non-technical team lay out and update a page the same day they need it live, which is the entire point when the ask is a landing page or a campaign, not a data model.
- It plugs into an existing stack instead of replacing it
BigCommerce kept Next.js, Vercel, and Contentful in place and added Makeswift as the visual layer on top. Nothing about the underlying architecture had to change for marketing to get a canvas to work in.
- Component consistency depends on what engineering registers
Every block a marketer can drag onto a page has to be built and registered by engineering first. That upfront work is what keeps a Makeswift page on-brand instead of becoming a pile of ad hoc layouts.
